A digital replica of the printed IMDG Manuals (IMDG22), designed to be used with the IMO Bookshelf software.
Since 1965 the IMDG Code has set the principals for the transport of dangerous goods by sea and it is published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Every two years the 2-volume publication is updated and amended. The 41st Amendment (2022) of the IMDG Code will come into force on January 1, 2024 for two years and may be applied voluntarily from January 1, 2023.
The Code lays down basic principles: detailed recommendations for individual substances, materials and articles, and a number of recommendations for good operational practice, including advice on terminology, packing, labelling, stowage, segregation and handling, and emergency response action.
