Who are these courses for?
Anyone whose job involves handling, offering for transport, shipping, or receiving dangerous goods and hazardous materials — shippers, drivers, warehouse and receiving staff, and the people who supervise them. Employers use them to meet their training obligations for staff across these roles.

Yes. Our TDG, WHMIS, and 49 CFR courses are built to meet the training requirements set out in the applicable regulations — the Canadian TDG Regulations, WHMIS (aligned to GHS), and the U.S. Hazardous Materials Regulations under 49 CFR. Keep in mind that under most of these regimes, the employer is ultimately responsible for confirming an employee is competent for their specific role.

Yes. On successful completion you receive a certificate you can keep on file for inspections and audits. For TDG, employer-issued training certificates remain the compliance record — we can walk you through how that works.

WHMIS covers hazardous products in the workplace — labels, safety data sheets, and worker education. TDG covers dangerous goods in transport. Many workers need both.

There’s no fixed expiry in the regulation, but training must be reviewed and updated whenever workplace conditions change or new hazard information becomes available. An annual or biennial refresh is common practice.
